Madamik Labs was created in 1991.  The name Madamik was invented in honor of our youngest son, Adam and his girlfriend, Kim.      Although it is a fairly young kennel, we however have had dogs most of lives and have had several different breeds of coonhounds, rough coat collies, a Brittany spaniel, even a few beagles until we were introduced to the wonderful breed known as the Labrador Retriever.      Located in mid-Michigan, Madamik Labs resides in the middleof  fertile farmlands ripe with crops, livestock and wildlife.  It is a wonderful place to raise and train the type of lab that does it all.      As involved breeders, we at Madamik Labs, do intensive research; books, articles and seminars while remaining active in several dog clubs. The breeding stock at Madamik Labs get their clearances from OFA on hips, elbows & heart; CERF/AVCO clearance on eyes; and Optigen testing to determine PRA status.  We assess our litters selecting only the best in conformation, disposition and natural retrieving abilities for our breeding program.      Madamik Labs offers our new families written health guarantees on hips, elbows and eyes and a printed pedigree.  Each new family receives a registration application and a printed list of the progress of their puppy’s growth stages, as well as when they received their first shots and when they were de-wormed.      Buying a new puppy is a lifelong commitment that could possibly last more than 15 years.  If there ever comes a time that our families can no longer keep their pet then we will help them find a loving home for their family member.      Madamik Labs are committed to our families and their puppies.  We will try to answer any and all questions and help them with any problems they might encounter in the future.      If  Madamik Labs does not have the right puppy for a new family then we can give referrals to other reputable breeders.
